SerpBook is a brand name that you have likely heard about a lot. It is definitely one of the go-to tools in many professional SEO’s and webmaster’s toolbox. With SerpBook, you can quickly identify where you currently rank for a specific set of keywords, and see the analytics of how it is changing over time.
If you’re busy, pin it for later.
I really like SerpBook because it is fast and accurate. I use it everyday, and I am in a good spot to review this service. With pricing ranging from Free to hundreds a month, there certainly is a sweet spot for everybody.
- Fast, accurate rank tracking
- Google, Bing and Yahoo results shown.
- Organize groups of keywords into categories based on site or client.

How to Use This Data
Obviously any SEO knows how valuable ranking data of this kind is, but what if you’re just a normal website owner with no clue about SEO?
SerpBook will help you track what is and what isn’t working in your strategy. You can easily track changes made in your SEO strategy, new links aquired, etc. with notes on a linear timeline. As rankings improve or decrease, you can easily spot trends by looking at the various notes left in the past.

Behind The Scenes
Here is an example $9.99/month account at SerpBook with 50 keywords under 1 category. I use it simply to keep an eye on 50 important keywords sent to my e-mail everyday in a neat spreadsheet. I rarely visit the dashboard other than to change the keywords. Everything is very straight-forward and as you can see, no-frills.
When you click further into the category, it displays some top level macro stats about these keywords that I recently started tracking.
Finally, you can see detailed information about the keywords being tracked. You can get all of this information e-mailed to yourself or directly to a client, and even white-label the reports with your own logo.
Can Anybody Figure Out SerpBook?
This is by far the easiest and most user-friendly rank tracker on the market. There aren’t a ton of navigation links to get lost in.
You simply enter what keywords you would like to track, enter your website URL, and SerpBook starts to track your rankings and progress on Google, Bing and Yahoo.
What if I don’t know what I’m ranking for?
No problem – SerpBook has you covered. When you first enter your URL in, SerpBook will then populate some suggestions in the keyword box.
It will show you in real time suggestions that you are already ranking for, along with the rank #. This is very cool and a feature that many people will find useful, especially if they don’t really know what keywords they should be tracking.
For instance, I personally don’t need any tools to make an educated guess on what keywords a website should be ranking for. I definitely do not need any tool to tell me what keywords I want to rank for.
For a regular business owner without SEO expertise though, this tool is invaluable.
It will show you keywords that you are already doing well or emerging in, which then opens up a can of worms for you to expand on.
SerpBook Pros & Cons
- Super fast and accurate rank tracking
- Google, Bing and Yahoo results.
- Great analytics and growth charts
- Wide range of pricing options
- Great for individual bloggers or for agencies.
- Their most expensive option is still not “unlimited”, which could be a turn-off if you have tons of SEO clients.
- Not a huge feature set for an SEO Tool*
*Perhaps I’m being a bit hard considering they do have quite a few features for a simple ranking tool. With absolute giants like SEMRush in the same space, however, it had to be mentioned. If you had to choose between SEMRush at $67/month and SERPBook at $20/month, I would tell you to go with SEMRush. That being said, however, I am a paying subscriber of both services and will continue to do so.
14-Day Free Trial & Pricing
You can land yourself a 14-day free trial of SerpBook to see if it’s right for you (it is). Depending on how many keywords you are going to need to track, you will be at different pricing levels. The first is $9.99 for 50 keywords and goes up from there. Below the first number is the amount of keywords you can track a month in total, and the second number is the monthly price.
- 50 – $9.95
- 100 – $19.97
- 200 – $29.97
- 500 – $44.97
- 1000 – $79.97
- 2000 – $159.95
- 5000 – $329.95
Obviously if you are just tracking a handful of keywords, you can get away with the 50 or 100 package. If you’re an agency or have multiple clients as a consultant, you will want one of the top 2 packages.
Customer support is a super important aspect of any online marketing tool or service. Luckily, SerpBook has a top notch support system via e-mail. They also can be found on social media. That being said, I have never (not even once) needed to contact support at SerpBook for any reason whatsoever. The service has always worked as expected, and I have not run into any issues.
My overall conclusion is that SerpBook is a must-have tool if you don’t have any other ranking tool in your arsenal. It has an affordable entry level subscription that can track your most major keywords. I keep it for whatever project is fresh at hand and narrow it down to the keywords that really matter. They have a free trial version and a $9.99/month version so there is really no excuse if you’re looking for a simple solution that also provides extensive reporting.
The only other option in this space at the moment would be SEMRush. If you own a website, you definitely need one or the other.
SEMRush does not have the kind of pricing options that
SerpBook does, so SerpBook remains the winner for a lot of businesses and entrepreneurs.
SerpBook is a monthly subscription ranking service. It accurately and neatly tracks your rankings across given keywords on Bing, Google and Yahoo. It then e-mails you the reports once a day, and you can also have branded reports sent directly to clients.
