AgoraPulse is a contender in the social media management space. Their offering is a cloud-based dashboard with a very clean and innovative interface. They get major points for keeping it simple.
As full disclosure I am an affiliate with AgoraPulse and earn commissions on sales, but the below review holds true. I utilized their free trial to test out the software and compare it others in the same space. If you want the tl;dr version, I found AgoraPulse to be a beautifully designed (with stunning reports) interface that can easily cut down your social media management hours.
AgoraPulse covers the following social networks as of this writing, helping you manage most aspects of each site:
- Facebook pages
- Google+ Pages
Pros & Cons of AgoraPulse
- Very Clean interface
- Super easy to learn and use, almost zero learning curve
- Covers top 5 social networks
- Scheduling, Monitoring and Reporting are all covered
- Very good option for a large team because it requires only a few minutes of training.
- $19/mo for extra competitors seems steep, but “ok” for extra users.
- The user limits on each band are a bit stingy. In my opinion, they do not have enough market share to command such limits at this time.
With their 14-day trial as well as a 100% money back guarantee on all monthly subscriptions, they are now on the radar and ripe to test out for yourself. I have tested AgoraPulse and I’m impressed with some features, and can see a bright future for the group.
Step 2: Follow along with this review to see what you’re dealing with.
Pricing varies by which subscription you choose, and you can save quite a bit of money if you buy 1 year in advance. Below is the monthly pricing if you just choose a pay by month-to-month option.
Social profiles, team members or “competitors” can be added on to any AgoraPulse package for an additional $19/month.
AgoraPulse sorts your social profiles as “teams” on the macro level. You can add moderators etc. to each “team”. This can be compared to Buzz Bundle’s “Personas”.
Like most of the new social media management suites, monitoring is included as one of the features in AgoraPulse. With their brand of monitoring, you can watch out and listen for the following across various networks.
- Facebook Ads
You can set these up specifically for each social profile activated on Agora’s dashboard. You can then quickly switch back and forth and get a fast macro view of who is talking about what across several different industries (if you so choose). Monitoring can also be done as a single business, watching out for mentions of your brand, your URL, your competitors, or key events taking place in your industry.
Getting To Inbox Zero
One of the main tenets you see repeated throughotu the Agora Pulse dashboard is to get to “inbox zero”. This means clearing out all inbox messages and/or public support messages on your chosen project. There are slightly different settings for each different social network that you’re currently viewing, but for the most part they look like this (Facebook Page example):
One of mainstays of any social media management is quick macro and also detailed reports of what is going on. I really like the reports that pop-up by default with AgoraPulse. They indeed score some major points here. Below you can see a random Facebook page report. This is just a drop in the bucket in terms of the different amount of reports that can be generated. They are extremely nice looking and can be expanded to view more details and of course exported for clients. If you are looking to impress clients, look no further.

This is a very cool and great looking feature of Agora Pulse. It does have some default options stuck in so you can see what it looks like, as it compared a FB music page to UK pizza Hut, etc.
You can edit the competitors very easily. The way the chart is set-up, however, as well as the different data metrics chosen, are very well-done. Brave on this feature and I can’t wait to see it expanded even further.
The industry is overloaded with SEO competition tools, and there are very good options for certain types of social (i.e, Buzz Sumo), but it’s good to see this fairly innovative tab in the AgoraPulse setup.
*For the record, I only saw this on the Facebook tab, but I didn’t sign up for the linked-in or Google+ Business pages portions. I did not see a competitors tab for either my Twitter or Instagram profiles.
At the end of the day, I would recommend taking the free trial (14 days worth) of Agora Pulse to see if it is right for you. You can compare it to similar offerings by both Buzz Bundle and Hoot Suite.
My favorite of the 3 would be Buzz Bundle, but Agora Pulse seems to be the leader in a clean interface, which saves you time during multi-tasking. Which social media management software will also depend heavily on what your needs are, whether you are a big or small team, solo, etc.
AgoraPulse is an up and coming player in the social media dashboard space. They offer a simple and intuitive user interface, and the cloud based backend can be picked up by anyone in just a few minutes.
